From a Viking helmet that gives Walter a ground-slam ability to superhero tights that allow him to nimbly slide into robot hordes, he has an eclectic armoire to help him on his journey. There are hundreds of items and gear to unlock as Walter progresses through missions. Not only do they help him look goofy/awesome/badass, they have in-game effects, granting him special abilities and boosting Walter’s stats. Here, we’re featuring three of the more ridiculous items you can equip: the Powdered Wig, Blue Marlin, and Fishnets.
“No Lie: Washington cut the cherry tree so it’d fall on a robot.”
This wig increases Bullet and Explosive Damage, as well as an 8% Dignity boost. And for humanity’s sake, you’re gonna need the extra dignity when you’re donning the fishnets.
“Not just for fish anymore.”
These don’t drop until later in the game, but you’ll need the large damage bonus, jump height increase (fishnets put some spring in your step!), and of course a nut-suck radius increase (you know, for attracting the nut currency in the game). Also, you can attend that Rocky Horror midnight showing in style.
Finally, a piece of gear that fits logically into the game’s irreverent canon. But seriously, this is literally just a large fish stuck in Walter’s torso. Must we explain more? This fishy equipment boosts Walter’s damage, melee, and beer capacity and increases swim speed by 14%... if there were actually water in the game.
